Please remember we will be awarding our annual trophies this year and the Lurikeen Rising Star will also be awarded.

We ask that all applications be in by Wednesday 14th October , this also includes the Lurikeen Rising Star.

Eligibility for annual awards given by the Shetland Sheepdog Club of WA.


Points start from the 1st of October and run through to the 30th September the following year.


To be eligible for an annual award the applicant must meet the following criteria.


• Applicants must be a current financial member of the Shetland Sheepdog club of WA.


• Applicants must have volunteered in at least one club fundraising event during the award year. 


• Applicants must meet the criteria of the individual award they are applying for.


• Applicants must complete an application form and provide the required evidence outlined in the award they        are applying for.

Annual Club Awards


Points start from the 1st of October and run through to the 30th September the following year.


Top CC Dog:
Dog with the most Challenge points, during the given financial year. Only CC points
gained in WA are counted.


Top CC Bitch:
Bitch with the most Challenge points, during the given financial year. Only CC points
gained in WA are counted.


Top Neuter:
Neuter with the most neuter breed points only. Only points gained in WA are
counted.


Best In Show:
The Best in Show winner at the annual Championship show for the given year.


Puppy On The Day:
This occurs on the day of our annual Championship show.
The minor puppy and puppy run off on the day. The best one wins.
If the minor or puppy receives the challenge they are automatically awarded puppy of
the day. If either receives the reserve CC they are automatically awarded puppy of
the day.


Kismet Encouragement Award
To be eligible for this trophy you must be:
A Financial member of the SSC of WA and not gained a Champion Title.
The points for this award are as follows:
3rd Place – 1 point
2nd place – 2 points
1st place – 3 points
Class of breed – 4 points
Reserve CC – 5 points
Challenge – 6 points
Runner Up BOB – 7 points
BOB – 8 points


These points are non accumulative.    For all Championship and open shows held in WA.                                         Breed Level Only. No extra points will be awarded for Group or in Show.

Agility Award Top 300 Dog:
Awarding for consistencies. The dog with the most qualifies.
1st place - 3 points
2nd place - 2 points
3rd place - 1 point


Agility Award Top 400 Dog
Awarding for consistencies. The dog with the most qualifies.
1st place - 3 points
2nd place - 2 points
3rd place - 1 point


Top Obedience: winner
Awarding for consistencies. The dog with the most qualifies.
1st place - 3 points
2nd place - 2 points
3rd place - 1 point


Top Rally O:
Awarding for consistencies. The dog with the most qualifies.

The Glenmira Trophy
 
For recognition of breeding excellence in the Shetland Sheepdog.
 
 
• This is a Points trophy. Points are accumulated under each category. e.g. BIS and class
in show plus BIG and class in group. All of these points contribute per show. For the
SSCWA show, only in show points apply.
• To be eligible for this trophy the applicant must provide evidence to support their
breeding excellence in the Shetland Sheepdog.
• Applicants must be full financial members of the SSCWA and reside in WA
• All dogs in the application must have been bred and exhibited in WA by a WA Shetland
Sheepdog breeder.
• No limit on dogs entered per breeder.
• The donator of this trophy is eligible to apply.
• Points are at Championship Show level only.
 
Points can be accumulated from the following shows only:
 

Shetland Sheepdog Club of WA Championship Show


Points as follows:
• 200 BIS
• 100 RUIS
• 25 Class in show


Semi Speciality Shows – Collie & Shetland Sheepdog Club of WA and Working Dog Club
of WA Championship Shows
Western Classic or equivalent Championship Shows
Winter Festival or equivalent Championship Shows
Perth Royal or equivalent Championship Shows


ANKC judging shows, points will be awarded as follows:

In Show
• 100 points BIS
• 50 points RUIS
• 15 points Class in Show
 
In Group
• 50 points BIG
• 25 points RUIG
• 10 points class in Group
 
FCI judging - For 1, 2, 3, 4 shows, points will be awarded as follows:
 
In Show
• 100 points BIS 1st
• 50 points BIS 2nd
• 25 points BIS 3rd
• 15 points BIS 4th
• 15 points Baby or puppy in Show
 
In Group
• 50 points BIG 1st
• 25 points BIG 2nd
• 15 points BIG 3rd
• 10 points BIG 4th
• 10 points Baby or puppy in Group
 
Neuter dog points will be awarded as follows at all shows for ANKC and FCI judging:
 
In Show
• 50 points BIS
• 25 points RUIS
• 10 points Class in Show
 
In Group
• 25 points BIG
• 15 points RUIG
• 10 points class in Group
 
The trophy will run from 1st October to 30th September each year.

Lurikeen Rising Star Trophy

The Lurikeen Rising Star Trophy is awarded by Lurikeen Kennels.


To be eligible for this trophy you must be:


1. Must be a full financial member of SSC of WA and reside in Western Australia.
2. For the puppy to eligible it must be owned and reside in Western Australia. 
           For jointly owned puppies ALL owners must be members and reside in Western
Australia.
 3. This trophy is for Baby, Minor, Puppy and Junior classes only.                            
  4. This is a NO Points Trophy……….The winner will be decided on the most Age In
      Group wins over the year at All Breeds Championship Shows & All Breeds Open
     Shows in Australia including The Perth Royal Show.      If there is a tie then both
Puppies will be deemed joint winners and both to receive a replica Trophy
5. The Donator of the trophy along with jointly owned Puppies will be eligible to
compete for the trophy providing joint owners are full financial members
       6. It will be the responsibility of the owners to submit their wins to Ashlea Stanton by
            7th October of each year.   Submission must include Date, Show, Judge and Award.
No late submissions will be accepted.
7. The Trophy will start from the 1st October to 30th September each year.
